Commercial Wastewater Treatment Polymers
Polymers are used in commercial wastewater treatment to help bind together (referred to as flocculate) suspended solids, producing groups of solids material known as flocc. Grouping the solids together like this allows for the removal and easier treatment of the wastewater. Water Tecnik provide equipment to help separate the solids from the liquid fraction, such as dissolved air floatation (DAF) or multidisc screw press (MDS).
Water Tecnik design and manufacture Dry Powder Polymer Make Up Units & Liquid Polymer Make Up Units. These units are used to blend polymer electrolytes (powder or emulsion) with water so that they can be used effectively in a treatment process.
Our units produce a controlled, automated and consistent mix which increases the efficiency of the treatment system as well as removing the need for manual batch mixing.
We have a flowmeter that monitors the flow of water entering the system, this flowmeter is linked to the polymer metering system. For every litre of water that enters the mix system, the flowmeter sends a signal. An exact amount of polymer chemical then is added, ensuring a consistent mixed chemical to water ratio every time.
A consistent polymer mix improves the effectiveness of the dosed polymer and reduces the potential for chemical wastage.
